Recently, the Pakistan Mertiyari-Lahore ± 660 kV DC transmission project (hereinafter referred to as "Merra DC transmission project"), designed and produced by Henan Equipment Company, was officially put into commercial operation on September 1, 2021.
The Merla DC transmission project is the only power transmission and transformation project under the framework of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, and also the first landing project in the field of power transmission and transformation in Pakistan to be opened to foreign investment, creating a record of the largest transmission channel with the highest voltage level, the largest transmission capacity and the longest transmission distance in Pakistan. The project adopts ± 660 kV DC transmission technology with independent intellectual property rights in China, with a transmission capacity of 4 million kilowatts, including two ± 660 kV DC converter stations, 886 km DC transmission lines and related supporting projects.
The conductor fittings (standard 5 and standard 6) of Mera DC transmission project were designed and produced by Henan Equipment Co., Ltd. After winning the bid in June 2019, the company actively communicated with the owner, the design institute and other relevant responsible persons to promote the project progress. Although the project performance was affected by the COVID-19, the company overcame many difficulties and challenges with a strong sense of responsibility and strong professional level, and produced, inspected and shipped goods in batches, Complete the supply of DC line fittings of the project with high quality to ensure the completion of the project on schedule.
